Straight Oils
Lamson HeavyDraw straight oils are divided into two categories:
- Chlorine Based Straight Oils
- Chlorine Free Straight Oils
All of our straight oil products are designed for use in any type of metal stamping application and are compatible with wash systems which skim out oil. We use only the highest quality additives to ensure the ultimate in tool life, rust protection, and employee acceptance. In most cases, the heaviest applications can be accomplished with or without the use of chlorine.
These oils were the first types of lubricants used in the stamping industry and are still widely used today. They are reliable and economical. Shown below are just a few of our complete line of straight oils.
Chlorine Based
Often included as an extreme pressure additive to enhance performance, chlorine based oils are one of the most commonly used metalworking fluids due to its cost performance.

Chlorine-Free
Chlorine-free oils are safe to use on most types of metals when free of sulfur. Because they do not decompose in high humidity or extreme heat, and do not discolor steel, brass or copper parts, they bring benefits when they replace a chlorine-based oil.
